3.1 Core Principle: Local Data Storage

AFuP Karten is designed so that all your learning and usage data is stored exclusively locally on your device. No personal data is transmitted to our servers or third parties.

3.2 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored locally on your device:

• Learning progress and statistics
• App settings (e.g., color scheme, selected license class)
• Results of exam simulations
• Flashcard status (Leitner system)

This data never leaves your device and cannot be viewed by us.

3.3 No Registration Required

No registration or user account creation is required to use the app. You can use the app completely anonymously.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 App Stores

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms collect their own data according to their respective privacy policies. We have no access to personal data collected by these platforms.

4.2 In-App Purchases

For optional in-app purchases (donations to support app development), we use RevenueCat as a payment processor. RevenueCat processes purchase data as part of the transaction. More information can be found in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

4.3 Firebase (iOS and Android)

On iOS and Android, we use Firebase for:

• Crash Reporting: In case of app crashes, anonymized technical information (device type, operating system version, crash logs) is transmitted to improve app stability.
• Remote Config: For configuring app features without requiring an app update.

5.1 Hosting

5.2 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about the use of this website. The information generated is usually transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA.
